The Party needs some new blood and some new conversation in the national dialogue. What is Bill de Blasio's politics, except that he is being portrayed in the media as "anti-establishment" type that wants to "question authority"? But maybe the Democratic Party needs a little dose of questioning authority? What other Party is going to stand up for the People?

And that is the biggest question for the Democratic Party, in my opinion.

(3,426 posts)Do you really think the rest of the country will allow a New York politician into the white house ? There has not been an F.D.R. in New York since F.D.R. Frankly empire state politics does not mesh with the rest of the country.Same applies N.J. And I doubt the political landscape will change any time soon. You have to know what that extra senate seat in New York actually is to get it. New york politics is so deeply rooted in corruption ,nobody wants that outside of New York.I could go on and on ,but I won't because it's a waste of time.
Nelson R. did make his way into the vice presidency though.
