Why the heck is there no option to delete a post because you have seen it and that is enough.
I have few friends on Facebook(by choice) and read their posts. OK, I'm done. Why should I have to delete the post with a snarky comment. Why is there no option-at least one I can find-that gives me the option of "delete". End of post.
I cannot figure out some of the other stuff on Facebook but that does not really matter. I just want to "delete" and be done with it. Never mind the foolishness about :
friends,
family,
acquaintances,
(town),
etc.
Why so foolishly complicated?
Either show the post or not, I don't need a category.
Since I have only a few friends and want to keep this family oriented, I don't want to check all the options. Some are friends, some family...whatever.
Why do the Facebook people feel it is necessary to have all these categories?

(72,790 posts)To the right of a post, there's a "v" symbol.
Click on that.
Then Click on "I don't want to see this"
And you'll no longer so that post in your timeline.

(27,630 posts)And there is no option for "I've seen it and I am tired of scrolling past it".
If you choose option "I don't want to see it" they ask why not. And there is no valid option why not. Not only that, facebook will wrongly assume you want to see fewer posts from that person.
The only thing that has worked for me is Social Fixer app that works with Google Chrome and Firefox. I recommend Social Fixer, although it only works intermittently. You can "mark as read" with Social Fixer.

(31,828 posts)I like it. I don't want to see anything about a college football team, te Jets, the Giants, etc etc and certainly not NASCAR . Formula 1 I AM interested in. So being able to see the "sports" I want to see and not eliminating sports entirely - I like.
