prosecute each other. Another disgusting manifestation of "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours." But we must demand better from our leaders.

Which leaders get prosecuted and which don't probably has to do with national wealth and power I would suspect.

And not just the torturers themselves but anyone who ordered or signed off on torture as well. From DimSon and Cheney who ordered it, through everyone who signed off on it, right down to the torturers who enacted it. They should all go to prison for the rest of their natural lives.

Cheney and Rumsfeld just to put the pressure on the US to do likewise.
I've given up hope for us to do it because we are good.

Cheney's fake heart gives out that he is prosecuted and enjoys the comforts of Leavenworth. That would serve as a late Christmas present for everyone on Earth.

or their interpretations of laws anymore. I can do whatever I want just like they did. They earned that from me. They taught me and told me how to do it. Thanks torturers! (sarcasm?)

officials to justice for their crimes of torture but the Obama administration was working hard behind the scenes to stop this and they (Obama administration) succeeded. Obama, being a constitutional scholar, was and is bound by his oath of office to prosecute war crimes, but I won't hold my breath.

while our prisons are full of people (mainly poc) for such minor offenses as marijuana possession, we are neither humane or enlightened.
