What is the work force/employment like in your area?

I'm now in my home territory of Washington County. My wife is working through a staffing agency right now at a "temp" job. She is finding that all the ads she is answering are for staffing agencies. It seems most employers right now are going through staffing agencies and most of the time it is opened ended or a six month contract and it seems like trying to get full time with a company is VERY hard to do.

Today she came across this article on Monster.com

http://news.monster.com/a/other/five-ways-fulltime-employment-can-hurt-you-beecf7?wt.mc_n=CRM_US_B2C_NEWS_Exp_150105

Five Ways Full-Time Employment Can Hurt You and The article is from Forbes Magazine.

What the hell are corporations or business trying to do in this country? By not hiring permanent employees employers have a way to save on expenses like health insurance for workers 401K for workers and if they don't like a employee they have an easier way of getting rid of that employee by saying the work isn't there we are closing out the contract or you aren't fitting the Company's image.

But if this is the way Business is starting to become the Normal what does this do to workers not just moral wise but not being able to know next dec I will still have this job or in Feb this job is ending I don't have anything lined up. What happens to economic growth? What happens to families and the middle class ( or in my situation Working class)?

We have a billionaire nearby, she owns a large facility in town. The local city and county government pisses all over themselves like an overly excited neurotic chihuahua when ever she walks by. This "princess of the neighborhood" was caught on camera with Scott Walker discussing union busting activities conducted by the state; and yet the population is happy to have this parasite clamped on our town.
Lets get as many slaves as we can to shovel money at her.....cause she is sure to share...someday..any day now.
