Guardian reporter says Bob McCulloch will charge him $12,000 for access to public documents

While Bob McCulloch has pretended to be very transparent in his handling of the Ferguson case, reporter Jon Swaine of the Guardian sent out a tweet suggesting that McCulloch may be hiding something.

St Louis prosecutor Bob McCulloch's office says records I've requested aren't public, and if a court rules they are, I'd need to pay $12,000

Swaine did not give any details on what sort of documents he is seeking, but when McCulloch sets the price for those documents so high it is a pretty safe bet that he does not want the public to see them. Let's hope that this gets challenged in court because I have a feeling that whatever it is that Swaine is seeking, it will probably be very revealing.
