WASHINGTON Capitol Hill lawmakers are back on the job today.
The 114th Congress will kick off with the usual trappings. Members will be sworn in, leaders chosen.
A few of the top issues out of the gate will include the Keystone XL pipeline, immigration policies and federal regulations.
The pipeline will be the focus of a Senate hearing Wednesday, and legislation to force approval of the project could be on the floor in a matter of days.

I can't figure out if Sanders and Franken are for the pipeline?
I did a cursory read of the article, but if anyone reads it thoroughly pls tell me - I don't feel like struggling with this article.

(21,578 posts)I just assumed keystone was dead! Any justification economically for its approval is gone now. You would think they would at least wait until prices go back up!
The Saudis are purposely lowering oil prices to make this kind of drilling unprofitable.

(21,578 posts)I read an article on CNN earlier today about a guy who moved to ND for the fracking boom. He had been unemployed and suddenly is making $30, more than ever in his life. Now he's unemployed again.
