(528 posts)When a tragedy happens we have to drop everything and mourn for a pre-designated time period? Do you have any reason other then it's sad as to why we shouldn't talk about this?

(39,171 posts)And what happened in France has nothing do do with stand your ground. He is merely waving the bloody shirt to push his anti gun agenda. Watch - next will come the comparison between the terrorists and legal gun owners in America.

(22,990 posts)To me, the OP is more about the gun thread war commentary than about the real meaning of the cartoon. If the OP didn't include the cartoon, that would be hard to deny.
They've taken a misreading of the cartoon and added "The irony of 'stand your ground" which doesn't make much sense, and has nothing to do with the cartoon. If it does have something to do with the cartoon, it makes more sense as a pro-gun, pro-stand-your-ground post, which was not the poster's intention.

(35,961 posts)It was in our local paper today. Tough shit if it offends a few people. I really don't understand why it would.

(39,171 posts)Using it to comment on US stand your ground gun laws is. The poster is using the cartoon inappropriately to advance his anti gun agenda. He is waving the bloody shirt and drawing a non-existing connection.
