MICHAEL SAM I'M ENGAGED!

Finally, some good news for Michael Sam -- HE'S ENGAGED!!!

It all went down in Europe where the 25-year-old football player has been vacationing with his college sweetheart Vito Cammisano ... the man Sam famously kissed when he was drafted into the NFL last year.

Unclear who asked who ... but one of Vito's friends (who was on the University of Missouri swim team with Vito) is already congratulating the couple about it on Instagram ... and Sam "liked" her post.

Sam has raved about his relationship with Vito -- and the two even traveled together to St. Louis and Dallas when Michael was working out with the NFL teams.

I wish Sam could have made it in the NFL.

I just grin at all those in the Deep South who will be outraged two ways, Gay and Interracial.

Getting cut twice can hurt the ego, but there are productive players in the league who have been cut a lot more than that before they ended up sticking. So it’s still premature to say Sam won’t make it in the NFL."

I had to look up what he can do now after being cut twice.. and I just saw "Draft Day" so this non football person is interested!

Much happiness to both. It's a shame the NFL was too bigoted to let him actually play in a game. I hope he finds a wonderful outlet for his talents.
