Shopping for Shabbat on a Friday...the timing of this is

not random. The stores fill with Jews buying for Friday Night Dinner which is a ritual in many many households, certainly in the Orthodox Households. It is the price we pay for being known as the Chosen People. Chosen to be shot, gassed, and eradicated.

It is my understanding that many Jews are leaving their life-long homes in France for Israel at higher percentages than in many years. It is very sad.
