Omaha could record its lowest temperature of the winter early Tuesday morning, but it won't feel as cold as those windy mornings last week.
The predawn low Tueday is forecast around 5 degrees below zero. Winds will be light to nonexistent, so wind chills won't be a factor and school is not in jeopardy.
The lowest the thermometer has been in Omaha this winter has been 2 degrees below zero, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures are expected to bottom out around 5 a.m. or 6 a.m. During the morning commute, the temperature could still be a degree or so below zero. The afternoon high is forecast in the midteens.
