We've lost the "War On Terror"

It's over.

Apparently the "War On Terror" is dependent on whether or not Obama attends a rally in Paris.

Millions of Europeans attended the rally and showed solidarity for one another, but apparently it's meaningless. It's all about America at this point.

If that's the case, then it's over. Time to call it a day.

Cut the defense budget. Withdraw from the Middle East. It's over.

We lost.

Time to take our lumps and move on.

Focus on domestic issues like income inequality and banksters running our economy.

If the entire "War On Terror" is dependent on a single President attending a rally...then it's over.

Game. Set. Match.

We lost.

We lose when we lose. That's what it boils down to. And when we do win, the cons and neocons have no end of nasty tricks to make the more gullible among us wish we hadn't. That's been the pattern my entire life and well before it.

Not "third way," which seems to be a DU term of art, but amoral panderers who are all about socking it away in their private offshore whatevers. Yes I mean Bill and Hill. It's only recently that I've started to realize that a lot of that came from the same bogus sources as the "third way" claims popular here. The Clintons are flawed but nothing close to the monsters they're made out to be by the fake left press.

the actual Third Way think tank, whose candidates ran from Obama and got slaughtered in November, is not identical to the "third way" epithet tossed around here, which is ironically and erroneously applied to Obama and his supporters. Anyway yes they (Third Way.org) support Hillary but whether she supports their policies down the line remains to be seen. I hope she doesn't but even if she did she'd still be a thousand times better than anything the GOP could come up with which is probably Jebster. Sometimes you have to settle for what you can get.

6. How does one wage war on a concept? On an idea?

Well, I mean besides surreptitiously reading other people's emails, text messages and banking/purchasing information? Those have proven pretty effective tools the US has used in the War On Privacy so they could use the spoils of that war to fight the War On Terrorism. They haven't gleaned much, but they do know now what most people's sexual preferences are, and the kind of porn they watch.

And droning, of course. Drones are sure concept-buster. Among other things.

Seems to me that the concept war (''War On __(Fill-in-the-Blank)__'') is always lost from the start -- because winning it or losing can only exist in the mind of the believer(s) in it. Problem is, the one's who believe in terror wars are the same ones ''defending'' us from the ''terrorists.''

- Most of the terrorist defenders are listed on the NYSE. Lockheed-Martin, General Dynamics, you know -- the ''M'' and the ''I'' in the ''Complex......''

the moment the phrase was coined and American lives and resources were spent on it. There was never going to be any "winning" of that war. Just "winning" for the Empire capitalists.
