'Destroying CIA torture tapes purged 'ugly visuals'

Now buy my book.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The retired top CIA officer who ordered the destruction of videos showing waterboarding says in a new book that he was tired of waiting for Washington's bureaucracy to make a decision that protected American lives.

Jose Rodriguez, who oversaw the CIA's once-secret interrogation and detention program, also lashes out at President Barack Obama's administration for calling waterboarding torture and criticizing its use.
"I cannot tell you how disgusted my former colleagues and I felt to hear ourselves labeled 'torturers' by the president of the United States," Rodriguez writes in his book, "Hard Measures."

Torturers? That is the least of what I call them. Hard measures? My wish is that he truly learns what they are.

How did he feel when Junior referred to the Constitution as a "goddamn piece of paper?" Or the "quaint " Geneva Conventions? How would he feel if another country did this to him? Outraged?

The people let off the hook for torturing prisoners aren't going to be grateful. That's not in their nature. All those little euphemisms (waterboarding, stress positions, sleep deprivation, ugly visuals, etc.) our culture substitutes for torture merely grants permission to the Jose Rodriguezes to complain about their disgust when someone calls them on their despicable actions. Now Mr. Rodriguez gets to write a book about his crimes against humanity, pocket some more money to go with his government pension, and gripe about how some people don't fully appreciate his wonderful service to the country.

Well, thanks a fuck of a lot, Mr. Rodriguez. The next retaliatory attack we sustain should be called an act of Rodriguezism instead of terrorism. Will that make you feel all better, you criminal wad of shit?
