Republicans and their corporate media have their "new Benghazi" with which to bash President Obama

Last edited Wed Jan 14, 2015, 02:30 PM - Edit history (1)

President Obama and his administration refuses to use the word Muslim when
speaking about extremists. So instead of calling them radical terrorists
President Obama and company should be calling them Muslim extremists or
radical Muslim terrorists. Both CNN and MSNBC's Morning "dead intern" Joe
Show were pusing this meme big time this morning.

Liberal Media =

BTW ISIS is the direct result of W's war in Iraq to make Dick Cheney truck loads of
money and if the media was honest they would point that out.

The slow motion, underhanded sedition of the mass media would be the top story in America except for the awkward problem of no mass media would cover it.

And you are right about the sedition in the media because I can't think of a
better example of that then CBS' Lara Logan and Sen. Lindsey Graham putting
together a phony story .... aka a pack of lies .... about the attack on the
American outpost in Benghazi in order to undermine President Obama and
his administration.

I watched just a little of CNN and Morning "Dead Intern" Joe's show this AM and it was
like Karl Rove wrote their scripts. They have no shame and so I will try to not to watch
that crap and my days will be better.

No, you’re the only one. You don’t have journalists over there anymore, what they have is public relations people. That’s what they have over in America now. Two-hundred and fifty thousand people in public relations. And a dwindling number of actual reporters and journalists.

The murderers in Paris were extremist Muslim terrorists.

The perpetrators of 9/11 were fanatic Muslims affiliated with al Qaida.

They are what they are.

The KKK is populated with radical Christian extremists.

Dr. Tiller was murdered by a Army of God Christian.

RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) is an extremist Hindu group that has committed violence.

The operative terms are: extremist, radical, terrorist.

No one should have any problem with calling the terrorists and killers what they are; anyone with even a modicum of intelligence understands that a radical fringe of any does not define the larger group.

I just had to tweet these to some chest-thumping dufus who was blaming Obama for ISIS:

Fox Hides Bush's Actions To Claim Bush Gave "Visionary" Warning About Islamic State

Fox News accused President Obama of ignoring warnings from President Bush about the ramifications of a U.S. withdrawal from Iraq, claiming that Bush's warnings in 2007 predicted the rise of the Islamic State extremist group. In reality, Obama followed the extended withdrawal timeline that Bush set in 2008 with the approval of military leaders

http://mediamatters.org/research/2014/09/05/fox-hides-bushs-actions-to-claim-bush-gave-visi/200662

Fox News Host Embarrassed By Fact Checkers After Blaming Obama for Bush Mistake

Recently, Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro tried to claim that President Obama is responsible for the leader of the I.S.I.S., Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, being free. Pirro said, “The head of this band of savages is a man named Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, the new Osama Bin Laden. A man released by Obama in 2009, who started ISIS a year later. And when Baghdadi left Camp Bucca, where the worst of the worst were held in Iraq, he threatened his American jailers saying, ‘I’ll see you in New York.’” Just one small problem with that – it’s not true. In fact, it got a rating of “False” by Politifact. If you want to “blame” a president for the release of al Baghdadi, the only one you could blame is George W. Bush. Politifact found exactly two possible scenarios behind the release of al Baghdadi – and they both point to the Bush administration.

http://www.forwardprogressives.com/fox-news-host-embarrassed-fact-checkers-blaming-obama-bush-mistake/

FACT CHECK: ISIS Leader, Baghdadi, Was Released By Bush, Not Obama

Since the right-wing is so intent on assigning blame for Baghdadi’s campaign of terror on the president who was in office when he was set free, then according to their logic it is all Bush’s fault. But don’t expect Fox News to report the facts as laid out by actual journalists. They won’t even report the comments of their own witness, Col. King, who appeared on another network (ABC) and admitted that he “could be mistaken.” It turns out that he never knew the name of the man he presumed to be Baghdadi, he just thought there was a resemblance to the man he encountered. Nor will they report Col. King’s remarks to the Daily Beast where he downplayed the threat posed by Baghdadi, saying that “He was a bad dude, but he wasn’t the worst of the worst.”

PolitiFact went on to note that, even if Col. King’s account were correct, and Baghdadi was still in custody in 2009, Obama still could not be held to blame for Baghdadi’s release. The terms of the Status of Forces Agreement with Iraq required the U.S. to turn over all prisoners to the custody of Iraq’s criminal system. That agreement was negotiated and agreed to by the Bush administration in 2008.
