And "Don't call my kid a retard" Palin is just fine with it.
As Ted Nugent-Sarah Palin Special Approaches, Nugent Mocks Those With Mental Disabilities
National Rifle Association board member Ted Nugent shared an open letter "to all the braindead hippie logic-challenged dipshits in the media" that mocked individuals with mental disabilities with the line, "Not every retard can read, but look at you go, little buddy."
In two weeks, Nugent will appear on Sarah Palin's Sportsman Channel show. Palin, who has a child with Down syndrome, has compared the use of the word "retard" to using racial slurs.
The National Down Syndrome Society "strongly condemns the use of the word 'retarded' in any derogatory context" because the term "is hurtful and suggests that people with disabilities are not competent."
An image posted to Facebook by Nugent on January 14 contained other offensive comments, including, "Look at you smiling at your phone, you crayon eating motherfucker," and suggested that a "retard" "lick[ed] windows" or "screw[ed] farm animals":

In response to Idaho Native Americans canceling one of his performances, Ted Nugent displayed the behavior that caused the tribe to do so in the first place.
Nugent had been scheduled to perform a concert at Couer DAlene Casino in Worley, Idaho on Aug. 4, but it was canceled after tribal officials were made aware of the racism Nugent has spewed over the years. The conservative rocker didnt take the news very well, of course, and went on a disgusting rant during an interview with Gannett Wisconsin Media in which he called those who canceled the concert unclean vermin who arent real people.
I take it as a badge of honor that such unclean vermin are upset by me and my positive energy, Nugent hatefully said. By all indicators, I dont think they actually qualify as people, but there has always been a lunatic fringe of hateful, rotten, dishonest people that hate happy, successful people.
To be blunt, it sounds like Nugent is talking about himself considering the racist remarks he has made about President Obama in recent years. The Idaho Native Americans who made the decision to cancel the concert did so precisely because of how hateful, dishonest, and rotten The Motor City Madman is. Were talking about a man who crapped his pants to avoid serving in Vietnam, a man who married a teen girl he was the legal guardian of just so he could have sex with her, a man who has called for the execution of Democrats and the President of the United States, and a man who has made racist comment after racist comment.

America needs to have a close look at current French and European hate speech laws.

Nugent, the 80s rocker who has found a second career as right-wing flame thrower, appeared on a talk radio show in Maine on Saturday and said that Trayvon Martin, the unarmed 17 year old black Florida teen who was shot and killed last year, deserved his fate. Nugent again referred to Martin as a gangsta wannabe, doubling down on comments he made in an Op-Ed he penned immediately following the acquittal of Martins killer George Zimmerman. On Saturday he went further, baselessly arguing that Martin was driven by bloodthirst, constantly looking to get into fights with people, and ultimately got justice.

Nugent is no stranger to controversy. In the heat of the 2012 elections, Nugent laid bare his distaste for President Obama by threatening him and all elected Democrats, calling on conservatives to chop their heads off in November. The remark prompted the Secret Service to bring in Nugent for questioning but didnt stop the Romney campaign from actively seeking Nugents endorsement and bending to the musicians will in an attempt to secure it.
