That at least proves something happened. I suspect the higher number of deaths is the more accurate number.

The number of buildings destroyed makes Amnesty's estimate plausible, but it's also possible they just burned the buildings and took the people somewhere else -- but where?

the 2000 is an estimate but it does seem to be around that many. Nigerian government is once again sitting on its hands. I swear that Goodluck Johnson is in cahoots with BH. He's busy campaigning now so apparently he can't be bothered with BH taking over the north of Nigeria and slaughtering thousands and burning down villages. Assholes claim that it was only about 150 a lot of them being BH terrorists and of course refused to show their aerial photos if they even have any.

I've read a lot of first hand accounts from people that escaped or hid one from a guy that was able to keep hidden and said he had to walk over a mile over bodies to get out. Ugh. Apparently, there are a lot of people who escaped to I think it was said an island that are in desperate straights from starvation and malaria. Most of those who were slaughtered were women, children and elderly.

Satellite images from Amnesty International shows just massive devastation. Numbers can't be confirmed because BH is in control of the town. Just horrible.
