The New Democratic Party Platform?

What should be in it?

Should the Party denounce the inequality in incomes in this country? Should the Party denounce trade treaties that makes it tougher for American workers to find good-paying jobs?

Should the Party call for radical reform of our tax system?

What should be our Party's position on military spending?

What should be the foreign policy stance of our Party?

What should we do to get full-employment in our Country?

Aren't these important issues?

Shouldn't we know where our Party stands??

No more of this "republican lite" of late: Conservative economic policies; tempered with a few crumbs thrown to social issue bullshit.

3. Excellent question! I've wondered more and more what the democratic party

stands for. If someone drove the items in post #1, I think they would be amazed at the support of Americans. Despite the last election, I really don't think most Americans want a more rightward march, but more the items as listed in post #1.

Also more than 3-5 bullet points in a presentation puts everyone to sleep.

So politicians can never, ever change their minds? That's a scary thought. Sounds more like the Tea Party Caucus to me.

The entire Democratic Party is just supposed to 100% agree to what a (relatively small number) of posters on a message board want-without those posters having to take any responsibility for the democratic process! Sheesh, get with the program!

I'll catch on eventually.

Of course not all states have caucuses, which I think is a shame. I think in those cases you would work through the Democratic Executive Committee in your county. That's how it seemed to work when I lived in Florida anyway. I went for a while. I was in Palm Beach county and the mean age was about 75. Boy did they love to argue. Those folks put DU to shame.
