National Review: Sarah Palin speech "meandering and often bizarre"

The former 2008 vice-presidential nominee told reporters last week that she was “seriously” considering running in 2016. But her meandering and often bizarre 33-minute speech in Des Moines proved she wasn’t. Sample line: “The man can only ride you when your back is bent, so strengthen it so America won’t get taken for a ride.” She will always be an entertaining speaker at conservative events, but she clearly lacks the discipline for a full-fledged campaign.

per this review from FR. Talk about being taken for a ride:

"...My wife and I just watched (Sunday afternoon) your EXCELLENTLY PREPARED AND PRESENTED SPEECH at the Freedom Summit via The Right Scoop link. I watched many of the men in the audience sit on their hands and not applaud any of your many key points which are new to your campaigning message. (We like the new delivery pace a lot better!)

Many if not most of these men felt you might have jilted them personally in 2011 by not running and that you’re leading them on again. A QUICK, DEFINITE, AND SOON DECLARATION that you not only are going to run but will not be denied in your bid to become President of the U.S. is an imperative for you. You do not have the luxury of being coy this time.

Make the announcement definitely and sooner rather than later, and the jilted men will fall in line again, one by one by one. You’ve never lost the (real and true) women’s support. But everyone needs to know FOR A FACT that you will commit to running as a Conservative-Republican first and/or Conservative-Independent second and that you will go full tilt until you win."

function, the speaker must have an extremely solid grasp on the material being delivered, not just the words but also the dynamics, which will get lost when on the stage and feeling that rush. Memory is vital to such a choice, as the prompter even if present will not be your friend if you are speeding unless you are extremely proficient with reading the teleprompter.

Except all the time. There's only so much you can write on your hand. Just another one of those things that make you wonder how intelligent they are...n't. Apparently they don't think video works, or cameras, or tape recorders, or the google,...I don't know how to post a screen grab but at CPAC 2013 the Quitta from Wasilla used a teleprompter to tell President Obama to step away from the teleprompter and do his job. The crowd went wild of course.

Sarah Palin delivers bizarre and rambling speech at Iowa Freedom Summit – and her teleprompter freezing is only partly to blame

Just days after Sarah Palin revealed she was “seriously interested” in running for president in 2016, she stood behind the podium at the Iowa Freedom Summit and delivered a bizarre and rambling speech to the audience.

The speech covered everything from attacking critics of American Sniper: “Screw the left and Hollywood!”; to criticising Obamacare: “What will they do to stop causing our pain and start feeling it again?”; to criticising the press: “The press asks, ‘Can anyone stop Hillary?’ This is to forego a conclusion, right?”

Commentators and viewers alike took to twitter to voice their confusion over Palin’s monologue, which rambled for 35 minutes without a clear theme.
***
But according to Bloomberg Politics and US News, the Palin’s excuse of a malfunctioning teleprompter has been used before to cover up odd moments in her speeches.

It took the Right 7+ years to figure out, what we on the Left knew within 3 weeks of her joining John McCain's campaign.
That type of thinking is so deep, it's almost comatose.
It'll be interesting to see if Palin blames the Left-leaning media.
