http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wisconsin-gov-scott-walker-shopping-kohls-white-house/story?id=28454138I wonder if they have a picture of the ONE and ONLY time in the past 15 years he or his wife shopped at Kohl's.
People, Scott Walker is not like you and me, he is part of the very very wealthy elite, even if he personally isnt that rich, he is in their crowd.
He wants to take away your food stamps and healthcare and working rights...and right now.

(14,449 posts)He seems pretty young to have a ton of money. Is he Romney jr.? I seriously not sure as Democratic candidates never went after him on this. Maybe they should have and gotten him out of office once and for all.

(94,591 posts)No sympathy for Walker, but conservative doesn't automatically equate with rich. If you have evidence of his wealth, fine. Otherwise, no reason to assume he doesn't.
FWIW, my wife and I frequently shop at Target.

(5,018 posts)No sympathy?
What in the hell does that mean?
Do you like that he conspired to destroy working people in his state?

(94,591 posts)All I'm addressing is your unsupported challenge to his claimed shopping habits. There are plenty of things to criticize him for without making things up.

(5,018 posts)It is interesting what you DONT comment on, like his agenda to destroy working people
Usupported, so you have the pics of the dozens of times he and his wife shopped at Kohl's?

(27,985 posts)about how a man can't be trusted to do such womanly things like 'shop' properly.
He's a fucking idiot but this OP is such an odd spin on a relatively benign joke.
And, shit, if I was going to attack him for it, I'd address the sexist aspect over anything else. Or even his pandering to big business. But even that's pretty meh-worthy.

(31,464 posts)If your condescension was because you feel everyone should have know it was then it was an epic fail, primarily because several politicians have been famously exposed for using this ridiculous "common man" stunt. I think John Kerry said he shopped at Costo after his windsurfing trips. Just sayin'...don't be so quick to judge the failure of others to immediately recognize the failure of your own post.

(5,018 posts)and so very harmful, because you see, there are people dumb enough to believe he is just like the rest of us.
That he doesnt rub elbows with billionaires, that he doesnt live a life of privilege and power.
But you see he does, one of his best pals is the billionaire lady in the video OR the KOCH BROS, per their past which I assume many know about.
Or the EIGHT MILLION DOLLARS the Koch Bros gave this piece of shit

(27,985 posts)yes, Kohl's is ICONIC and HQ'd in SE WI. They are one of our state's largest employers. Scooter bringing them up is a pander to them and their big business, not supporting someone who's family started the company decades ago and sold all interested 35+ years ago.
Walker shopping there does not add to Herb's fortune and hasn't in most of mine or Walker's lifetime.

(27,985 posts)I grew up in the neighborhood he lives. He's not in a gated community or ultra-rich area. Yes, he hangs with that crowd and desperately wants to be part of it, but I don't doubt he he and/or his wife Toe-nail shop Kohl's. It's a Milwaukee area based company with a HUGE presence here, literal and metaphorical.
There are a 1,000 things to hate him for, but this just seems such a totally weird thing to nit picks with him on.

(5,018 posts)to destroy working people, so it is VERY dangerous for average people to think they have anything in common with this massive prick
But I will GLADLY stand corrected by YOU

(426 posts)I didn't realize that price stickers in department stores were simply MSRP. What is the standard discount that one should expect when negotiating with the cashiers on the way out?
tammywammy
(26,582 posts)I don't regularly shop there, but they do a lot of discount promos and something called Kohl's Cash.
PeaceNikki
(27,985 posts)Nobody ever pays regular price there. Anyone who shops there knows that.
It's so bad that there have been class action suits against them for their inflated regular prices and deceptive discounts.

(5,018 posts)first using a coupon, same goes for online.
Especially online, I assume most know that other than Amazon (as far as I know anyway) if you want to buy ANYTHING you first google the name of either the product or company you are buying from and the word coupon

(5,075 posts)Not full price. Tonette is right on this one. The only thing I have ever agreed with him on.

(5,075 posts)I buy clothes every year or two. I wait for a big sale and then go spend a couple hundred bucks, get enough to last until the socks have holes and then go again. One hour shopping every year or two is all I can handle being in a store.
