Ya know...I've thought of this for quite some time but never really mentioned it to anyone.
The bulk of liberal voters are, historically, in urban areas. BUT, look at all the so-called "Blue States" vs the "Red States". Most of the Red states are in the South where the weather is milder in the winter and only the occasional tornado hitting some isolated areas (Well, until the climate change-induced, 2-mile-wide leviathan storms have started forming). But winters in New England are some of the most brutal in the nation and who mostly lives there? Liberals!
Sure, the Upper Plains have brutal winters, too, but the population is sparse compared to our eastern seaboard.
right-wingnuts love to constantly bash liberals as weak and praise themselves as rough and tumble good 'murikan patriots
HA! Put them thru a nor'easter like this one coming up and they'll be waving the white flag of surrender faster than you can say Freedom Fries!
Hang in there, my hardy New England compatriots!!

(47,803 posts)I live in New England, and at times this when we're in the bullseye -- I think we're f'n crazy to live here.
Liberal Schmiberal. We're just nuts.
But then again, at other times of year, like our glorious summers, I think it's crazy to live anywhere else.
Life's a trade off I guess.
