CVS vs our pristine Antarctic Ocean

From email.

It’s amazing -- thanks to SumOfUs members like you, we’ve had over 63,000 people call on CVS to stop selling krill-based pills that are devastating penguin populations and our pristine Antarctic Ocean. And over 1,000 of you posted directly on CVS’ Facebook wall.

CVS is refusing to back down, maintaining that its krill pills are sustainably certified. But in reality, no amount of krill fishing is sustainable, and leading environment groups like Greenpeace and Pew Environment Group have long objected to the certification of krill products.

To win this campaign, we’ve got to keep sustained pressure on CVS. We’ve got to keep telling the story that CVS’ sale of these krill health pills is destroying a species that props up the entire Antarctic marine ecosystem.

Can you share this graphic on Facebook so we can keep up the pressure on CVS and force it to stop selling krill-killing pills?

If you also use Twitter, you can share the graphic on Twitter just by clicking here: https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?text=.%40CVS%2C%20stop%20selling%20krill-based%20health%20pills%21%20They%27re%20destroying%20the%20entire%20Antarctic%20ecosystem%20http%3A//bit.ly/1E6HICN&original_referer=http://action.sumofus.org/s/krill-social-share-thanks/?action_id=37819801&akid=.2211172.a2Vqoi&ar=1&form_name=act&rd=1

We’re targeting CVS because it’s one of the biggest pharmacies in the country. CVS has shown itself to be a corporation that wants to do better -- we saw that last year when it announced that it would no longer sell tobacco. We know that it’s possible to get CVS to change -- but of course, it’s not going to be easy and we’ve got to keep up the pressure.

Join us -- share this graphic on Facebook to stop CVS from ruining our entire Antarctic marine ecosystem.

Thanks for all you do,
Paul, Katherine, and the rest of us
