Best-selling author James Patterson thrills Alaska's Palmer’s Fireside Books with $7,500

AlaskaDispatch
James Patterson has written more New York Times best-sellers than anyone else. He reportedly earned $90 million last year. And now he's shared some of those earnings -- and his passion for books and independent bookstores -- with Palmer's own Fireside Books.

He's well known for using ghostwriters who work from an outline he hands off to a team.

But I guess in this case the ends justify the means, as long as he's supporting brick-and-mortar stores and not the greedy philistines at Amazon. Strange bedfellows of the world unite.
