It is SO overwhelmingly clear that vaccinations are a huge boost to the overall well being of people by eradicating some of the most awful symptoms caused by many of the worlds worst viruses.

How are the Taliban and anti-Vaxxers alike? MohRokTah Feb 2015 #3
I think a better comparison would be to the Vatican telling Africans not to use condoms Marrah_G Feb 2015 #4

while it's true about the science, I also think most anti-vax people are parents who are concerned about their children. They have been lead astray and have a problem grasping the science. But I can see their side more than the list you posted.
I also think, understanding their motivation, it is easier to engage them and show them the truth than those on your list.

My only question is how did those employees at Disneyland get Measles when they were indeed already vaccinated against it? I believe that according to the CDC, 5 of the employees had been vaccinated (I need to look this up again). I had the measles as a kid (no vaccinations in my days) but if someone who has been vaccinated against measles can get it, that means that in my senior years I too am vulnerable, if I come in contact with someone who has been exposed, even if they were vaccinated. Unless, as they say, once you have had the measles, you can't get it again.

Smallpox vaccines were never better than 98%, and through those vaccines smallpox was eradicated in the wild.

Even actually suffering through a case of the disease is not a 100% guarantee of immunity.

The goal is initially herd immunity which protects those few who do not develop immunity through vaccination and those who are medically incapable of being vaccinated.

A group of morons taking the idiotic anti-vax stance results in broken herd immunity and the anti-vax stance of the Taliban is the single biggest hurdle to the achievement of eradicating polio in the wild.

Both are anti-vaccinations.

The anti-vaccination stance of the Taliban is currently the single biggest hurdle to actually eradicating polio in the wild.
