25 Ludicrous Conspiracy Theories People Actually Believe

Published on Feb 2, 2015
“Conspiracy theory” is a term that was originally a neutral descriptor for any claim of criminal or political conspiracy. There’s no doubt that the government will always find ways to control us and in many cases manipulate or brainwash us, too. There have also been enough recorded cases where conspiracy theories turned out to be more than theories.

Nowadays, however, the term “conspiracy theory” has come almost exclusively to refer to any crazy theory that attempts to explain a historical or current event as the result of a secret plot by conspirators of almost superhuman power and cunning. Examining and analyzing the facts is always good but in these 25 cases we feel like some dudes have literally overdone it. What do you think?

3 steel skyscrapers in one day.

If true, that would have caused global panic.

Think how many steel skyscrapers would be considered structually unsafe.

Never before, never since.

But we are not suppose to question anything.

The laws of physics were just suspended on that day.

Our TRILLION dollar defense system was useless.

But don't ask any questions or your are a conspiracy theorists.

And this will surely get shut down as off topic.

But what was the last thing that caused a global panic, much less what building code last caused global panic? We've had earthquakes that exposed the dangers of lousy construction standards that didn't cause global panic.

By the by, you do know that there was some controversy in the '60s when those buildings were constructed about they way they were constructed right? Did you know they were the inspiration for "Towering Inferno"?

And what law of physics was suspended? Because buckling failure (usually called stability failure) is a very well documented failure mode.

You can ask any questions you want, but not listening to the answers is what gets you labeled.

you know - the stuff that defies logic and science.

It is perfectly reasonable to ask why we didn't detect the plot and stop it in time.
