The Guardian: Fox News "literally – working for al-Qaida and Isis’s media arm"

The Guardian has posted an article about FOX New's embedding ISIS's latest snuff film, unedited on their webpage:

Fox News has chosen to embed on its website the video of Islamic State burning a hostage to death, a move which makes them the only US media organization to broadcast the video in full.

The extremely graphic 22-minute video shows Muadh al-Kasasbeh, a Jordanian pilot, being set on fire and burned to death in a cage. Fox News did not post the videos of the killings of previous Isis hostages, and no other media company has hosted this video.

The Guardian however, notes that ISIS supporters are quite thankful for FOX's hosting help:

On Twitter, accounts associated with Isis supporters are sharing the video via the links to the Fox News site. One account, which regularly posts pro-Isis slogans and updates about Islamic State ‘victories’ in battle, tweeted boastfully that “Whoever is looking for the al-Furqan version (of the video), here it is and it cannot be deleted because it is on an American network.” Al-Furqan is Isis’ media outlet.

And Terrorism experts seem to agree:

Rick Nelson, a senior associate in homeland security and terrorism at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, said that posting the video actually empowers Isis.

... “These groups need a platform, and this gives them a platform,” he added.

Malcolm Nance, the executive director of the Terror Asymmetrics Project on Strategy, Tactics and Radical Ideology thinktank and an expert on counter-terrorism and radical extremism told the Guardian that by posting the video Fox News was propagating “exactly what Isis wants to propagate”.
.....

“(Fox News) are literally – literally – working for al-Qaida and Isis’s media arm,” he added.

“They might as well start sending them royalty checks.”

You would think the the rest of the media would be pointing this out, but they will not admit they are being trolled by ISIS and gleefully and willfully responded by giving ISIS free publicity for recruiting by endlessly repeating ISIS propaganda. For months now.

All the fucking American MSM are guilty, only Fox has no shame to stop it.

So now that the MSM has stopped how can they now point to Fox for continuing this insane free publicity, when they were and are just as guilty?

Who still says Fox is not dangerous and seditious?

Spreading propaganda of a foreign enemy....shut it down....shut Fox down from at least this.

But people are held accountable for "speech" all the time. Give sensitive information to AlQaeda, your speech is not protected. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of lawsuits for libel and slander. People can be, and are, held accountable for speech.

I think Fox News is working for Fox News. Those who are viewing the video are watching to either (A) confirm that Arabs are barbarians and deserve whatever they get even at the hands of other Arabs or (B) or so perverse in their thinking and outlook on life that this satisfies some deep-seated need to see another suffer. Fox is just playing to its audience. In addition, I do believe that by this time Isis may have realized that they have stepped over a line and may be regretting it every time that video is viewed.

But never in a million years would I have guessed that they would promote an organiztion like ISIS, by having that video on their site, that the recruiters for ISIS can then use to try and get people who are Value challenged, and embrace horror to join their organization that would put people in a cage and burn them alive.

Only US network to feature graphic video showing Muadh al-Kasasbeh burning to death.

Twitter accounts associated with Isis supporters are sharing video via links to Fox News.

In a statement, the network said: “After careful consideration, we decided that giving readers of FoxNews.com the option to see for themselves the barbarity of ISIS outweighed legitimate concerns about the graphic nature of the video. Online users can choose to view or not view this disturbing content.”

On Twitter, accounts associated with Isis supporters are sharing the video via the links to the Fox News site. One account, which regularly posts pro-Isis slogans and updates about Islamic State ‘victories’ in battle, tweeted boastfully that “Whoever is looking for the al-Furqan version [of the video], here it is and it CANNOT BE DELETED because it is on an American network.”

Al-Furqan is Isis’ media outlet.

This should be on the front page of every newspaper in America, but guess what, bet a lot that it isn't. It should be the lead story for every newscast, and again, bet it isn't. I don't watch MSM news or read the local fish wraps, so can't tell you for sure, but it certainly would be out of character for our rah rah Repug newspaper to print anything bad about the official water carrier for the right wing - Faux Snooze.

This goes to the heart of the matter. 9/11 was done by Saudi Arabian citizens, some directly financially supported by Saudi royals. War in the middle East benefits the oil barons and increases the need for American made munitions, so the 1%ers win big. Saudi gets to support the radicals, keeping pressure off them, and help us by keeping the fear of terrorism the driving force. It also increases terrorism to have us fighting in the middle east, to keep Palestine bereft for the benefit of the Israeli land stealers. This is all planned. Why do we fund the people that become ISIS then start a war against those self=same people? $$$$$.

Thu Feb 5, 2015, 02:23 PM
Feb 2015
http://www.mediaite.com/online/conservative-sites-rush-to-post-isis-video-after-fox-opens-floodgates/

Not only can online users choose to view it on Fox’s website, but because the network made the video embeddable, now others sites can post it too. And that’s exactly what happened on Wednesday.

"First, Glenn Beck‘s TheBlaze embedded Fox’s video — along with a series of graphic still images — on its website. The host echoed Baier when he wrote, “I believe it is important for the world to see them. We have been lured into a poppy field where we have fallen fast asleep as grave danger quickly approaches.”

Then, it popped up on Breitbart, which failed to mention the source of the video, but nonetheless used Fox’s embed to share it with readers.

“Breitbart News here provides the entire video of ISIS burning a Jordanian pilot alive,” Brandon Darby wrote on behalf of the site. “The complete evil of Islamist ideology is visible in the graphic video. Though controversial, it is the belief of senior management at Breitbart News that the horror of ISIS should be visible for national decision makers, the constituents who elect them, and the Americans who may be called upon to fight them.”

And next came The Daily Caller, whose Jim Treacher posted Fox’s video with the headline, “If You Don’t Want To Watch This Video Of ISIS Burning A Man Alive, Then Don’t.”

A solid block of FOX talking heads (blockheads? ) are well-known Neocons (WM Kristol, Krauthammer, etc).
The link between Fox and Neocons is inescapable and iron-clad.

The Neocons and US War-industry/MIC have the same goal as ISIS----Vast WAR, involving the whole world.
Yup.

They want it for different reasons---ISIS, apparently for some insane messianic vision (they are clearly
baiting many nations, 1-at-a-time), while
the Neocons/MIC want it for for $$$$ and global dominance (Project for The New American Century, etc).
Also, war is the best way to control those troublesome dissidents (an old fascist method).

Ultimately, both ISIS and US Corporate Militarists want the same thing.

See?

I agree 100% with the expert's conclusions. On one hand, I like reporting that shows & reports everything as is--remember the US argues this to prevent the release of "torture photos" & revelations of other crimes. Fox is just trying to whip up their audience by showing shocking ISIS propaganda.

It isn't just ISIS videos. They help their recruiting by obsessing with "Islam" indentifier in the terrorist label, rampant Islamophobia -- they way they treated, Hannity, Keith Ellison was despicable.
