Don't have to click on the death porn if you do not want to?
Kathleen Culver, associate director of the Center for Journalism Ethics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Journalism and Mass Communication, who studies ethics in digital media, said she was "dumbfounded" by Fox News' decision to post the video.
"You do need to tell the truth, and you do need to show people what has happened, yet harm does come from that truth-telling, from the family of the victim to the audience seeing graphic images," Culver said. "I don't think it's enough to put that question into the hands of the audience don't click if you don't want to see the graphic video. The issue is not just what the audience wants to do it's allowing your platform to promote propaganda."

In a statement, the network said: After careful consideration, we decided that giving readers of FoxNews.com the option to see for themselves the barbarity of ISIS outweighed legitimate concerns about the graphic nature of the video. Online users can choose to view or not view this disturbing content.
On Twitter, accounts associated with Isis supporters are sharing the video via the links to the Fox News site. One account, which regularly posts pro-Isis slogans and updates about Islamic State victories in battle, tweeted boastfully that Whoever is looking for the al-Furqan version [of the video], here it is and it cannot be deleted because it is on an American network.
Al-Furqan is Isis media outlet.

"Terrorism experts quoted by British newspaper The Guardian condemned the decision to post the video a sentiment Culver agreed with.
"The minute Twitter handles controlled by terrorists are positively promoting your video post, you should have questions," she said.
The man in the video was Lt. Muath al-Kaseasbeh, who was captured by the Islamic State in December. Jordan executed two prisoners in response to the video.
Fox News did not respond to a request for additional comments."

"You can say a man was put in a cage and he was set on fire and he was burned alive. That is horrific, hideous, and completely explained what happened," Maddox told CNN Today. "So you dont need to show the video in order to explain that or any part of the narrative.
