A Nebraska native will be the first plus-size model in a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition ad when it hits newsstands next week.
Ashley Graham, born in Lincoln, will appear in the magazine in an ad for Swimsuits For All. Swimsuits For All sells bathing suits for those sizes 8 and up. Various sources say Graham fluctuates between a size 14 and size 18.

"I know my curves are sexy, and I want everyone else to know that theirs are too," the model said in a statement to US Weekly. "There is no reason to hide and every reason to flaunt."
The ad shows Graham in a black bikini and heels standing next to a pool. Behind her a suited man stares as he falls into the water.

objectification of bodies. I love that they will include her to counter the skinny minny models as we are all shapes and sizes. That said, I have no problem with modeling for swim suits, but for objectifying in sports illustrated? Not my cup of coffee and it sends a bad message to too many as do too many ads, etc etc etc etc.
