I'm old school, I pay by check, an accountant does my taxes.

At my age, the thought of my meager funds being stolen or unauthorized charges to my one credit card scare the heck out of me. I do use a debit card because I spend less if I don't have cash with me. I have been told that the bank debit cards are secure. How are we to know?

Now it is Turbo Tax. Wow! Both my kids use this program to file their taxes. Hope they have not filed yet. What a mess we are in.

Thank heaven Anthem is not in MA. It seems we are vulnerable on all fronts and can't do much about it.

I use a reloadable debit card not in any way connected to my bank accounts for online purchases, but that card was hacked at a Target in Brooklyn on New Year's Eve. The card company caught it before me and issued a new card.

Every time any of mine has had a fraudulent charge I have called them and they took it off right away.
