...two years ago. We traveled with Lindblad National Geographic. The range of wildlife we saw was amazing; it was an incredible journey in a beautiful place.

in a deep tidal creek off the coast of southern Georgia, we saw a couple of heads pop up out of the water near us, floating in the same direction with the tide. An instant of panic, then plain awe. Those were very large turtles back then. Don't know how they're doing down there now.

Beautiful web page. I have seen many turtles diving and they are always a treat. They don't have a care in the world and just fly throught the water.

Depends on the diving location, but in the Caribbean, we see Green Turtles on virtually every dive. Occasionally we see Hawksbills. Seeing loggerheads or leatherbacks is much less common.

If we don't care for these amazing peaceful creatures we will lose our oceans and our planet.

Watched an enormous leatherback mama lay her eggs, and carried hatchlings across the beach to the water.

Lots more around the Florida keys than up here in the panhandle, I still have to watch out for them when boating (don't want to hit one).

Swam and snorkeled at Maui beaches and encountered lots of these lovely creatures.
It's a bit of a shock when one sidles up to you!
