than Ted Nugent. The people who listened to the country stations didn't like what the Dixie Chicks said, called radio stations and sponsors and complained, the stations caved, because in the end, it truly is all about $$.

If Ted Nugent had not migrated from a rock-and-roll base to a country-redneck base over the last several decades, he'd have pissed off that base if he had made that comment about President Obama.

You can freely say that as a marine you won't follow orders from the Commander in Chief and you can freely say anything bad about him no matter what a lie it may be because we don't really have a "liberal media." We have a corporate owned media.

If our media was truly liberal, we would have never had 8 years of GWB.

so the right wing sells it's own soul in away.

Popular pov is liberal, it's why they own the corporate media. They knew it was the only way they could win politically.

Nugent is a nut. A huge nut. An armed nut. A loose nut. They may have allowed him to walk out of the Secret Service interview, but oh Teddy boy better know they are watching you. Closely. If he starts writing a suspicious note, they will pop out of his wood works and put him with the other nuts they've collected before he finishes it.

musicians than Ted Nugent to boot.

His entire career (post-Amboy Dukes anyway) has been built on tired renditions of the pentatonic scale. Ugh. Borrrrr-ing.

I've loved her every since the Bush statement. I bought a bunch of their CDs when that whole thing went down and I wasn't a fan before that. Not a country music fan in general. She has a beautiful voice though. I went to the Vote For Change grand finale concert in DC and Natalie sang "Sweet Baby James" with James Taylor and it was amazing.

A few weeks ago she tweeted something about the Bush statement and I replied and she sent me back a tweet. I was embarrassed about how excited I was to get a tweet from her.

Natalie Maines said she was ashamed to hail from the same state as the president. Ted Nugent implied that he was plannining a crime against the president serious enough to get him killed or jailed.

No comparison at all. Not even close. And yet, the person who uttered the much more innocent statement was the one who was vilified.
