After 50 years on daily insulin shots, I'm actually doing remarkably well. There are others in much more dire need of a transplant.

I started insulin shots last spring. Some days are better than others when I test my blood.

I test multiple times daily to try to get my level dialed in as closely as possible, but even at that it's never an easy thing to do.

A licensed dietician can be a godsend if you have the opportunity to see one, whether for Type l or ll.

I find that my taste buds are changing (or something). I usually crockpot meals (once or twice a week) and freeze the leftovers. Lately, meals that I enjoyed before seem to have too much garlic. Perhaps that spice gets stronger.
