Romney campaign aide: Auto bailout was Romney's idea!

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/224371-romney-campaign-claims-auto-bailout-was-his-idea

One of Mitt Romney's top advisers said Saturday that President Obama's decision to bailout Chrysler and General Motors was actually Romney's idea.

&quot Romney's) position on the bailout was exactly what President Obama followed. I know it infuriates them to hear that," Eric Fehrnstrom, senior adviser to the Romney campaign, said.

"The only economic success that President Obama has had is because he followed Mitt Romney's advice."

The claim appears to be a shift from Mitt Romney's November 2008 op-ed in The New York Times, headlined, "Let Detroit go bankrupt."

3. It only "infuriates them" because it's a lie.

It amazes me that anyone with half their brain cells working can't figure this out.

This is a known "fact" by far too many.

There will be a degree of the GOP base that will not only believe this BS about GM, but will spread the word.

It does not matter how much truth and evidence you show these people.

They know their "facts" and any evidence you show is manufactured or a lie. You could point to the sky and say it's blue and they would probably say it's a movie screen you're seeing and the sky is actually green.

It's willful and intentional ignorance.

even if one looks at it solely through a political lens, putting aside the outrageous and easily proven lie.

The rabid right are angry about the auto bailout even today so if they believe this load of crap it's going to make them angrier and even less likely to support him, if they don't believe him it is one more reason in their minds as why they are having trouble supporting him-----flip flopper

The independents are smart enough to know this is nothing but crap so this sure as heck isn't going to endear him to them.

The left, middle to far, sure isn't going to change their view and start supporting him so ........

Who, which voting group, is this load of crap targeted to? I can't see anyone, regardless of their political persuasion, being anything but contemptuous of this disastrous political move.
