Obama cracked me up.

I though Kimmel had a tough act to follow and didn't do too bad.

And I love Obama. He did take make some well-deserved zings - especially on the medical marijuana issue.

I thought she was kinda shocked by the joke and turned away to gather herself.

Even after she regained her composure, I thought she look a bit.... not sure of the accurate adjective.... I guess I thought she was saying to herself, "Did you really go there?"

But you know the far right has been having a field day with the whole "eating the dog" thing... so I kinda respect the prez for just dealing with it.

Who knows, but the camera wasn't shy with her reaction. She looked like she wanted to dissolve into her plate after he told it.

The problem with the joke is that it was a dirty joke if you take it that way.

I own an American Pit Bull Terrier w/ no desire to eat her but know he is not serious. The problem w/ the backlash Colbert and Sykes received is people taking them too seriously. It was a great joke that played on the Palin line difference between a hockey mom & pit bulls - lipstick. Which is what it made it funny to me.

Pretty mean overall when dissing the Republicans, not that I minded that too much.

Didn't like the Prez joke about pit bulls being tasty, but loved the one about SS having a curfew.

Jimmy Kimmel wasn't waiting on laugh lines (that weren't forthcoming anyway). I don't blame him for running through the lines so quick. With a studio audience, those would have rocked, but this was the moron media and clueless DC elite, so wouldn't expect them to see humor if it kicked them in the ass.
