(3,290 posts)Senators Durbin, Kirk and Representative Shimkus. Yeah, I know Kirk is aipacs goldenhaired boy. I think they can declare him a dependent on tax forms, but I thought I would give it a shot. Hope springs eternal as they say. I really do realistically hope Senator Durbin will decide to skip the speech and not contribute to this slap in the face to our president by Boehner and Netanyahu.
I would ask that you not attend this speech. It is a direct slap in the face to our president and to all American citizens. It is also an unconscionable interference in our political process. His coming is both a political ploy in his home country and a lobbying effort against the ongoing nuclear negotiations with Iran. Netanyahu is a warmonger and would like nothing better than to see America in a war with Iran for his own devious purposes. We send untold tax dollars to support the Israelis and in return we get nothing from Netanyahu but total disrespect.
I would encourage you to defer attendance at this speech. Anything less would just encourage other of our enemies to try the same ploy.
Thank you.
