The Slackers Gaming The System Are The Rich And Not The Poor, The Middle Class Or Workers.

It is amazing how projection works. I am so sick of all this GOP rhetorical crap about the poor, the middle class and workers gaming the system to get government benefits. The gamers are the rich. They are the ones raping everything.

The fact that so many people buy into that garbage means this country must really be sick or something.

one area the the dullest tool in the tool shed in other areas.

Many Americans have had it so good for so long, it's not ingrained in our society to question these things, so many, I think, plod along not digging into much, and DU is by far the exception.

Even when I bring up the fact that about half of America lives in poverty and/or damn close too it, I always get stupid looks. Hence, the republican propaganda works sooo well in the US. Most Americans IMO can't see past their nose.

PS: If countries can be classified as ill, America IMO is a winner anymore. This is not a healthy country.

... the difference is the amount they get out of it: it's a bigger problem when the wealthy do it, because they get so much more.

part of my underlying premise for many years now: entitlement debt notwithstanding...I just can't see how those on the bottom rungs of the economic ladder (e.g., "welfare queens," can have so much power - the power to take down our economy.

People (spinners, GOPers) like to twist and complicate explanations, but FREAK! - clearly the problem with our economy is income concentration moving to the top small percentage, and Wall Street lies and manipulation. There is obviously no such thing as trickle down, this has been established through experience and history. End of story.

if I buy into the rhetoric of the rich I can stand on the fringe of their world. Besides, I would rather stand on the fringe and inhale their body refuse than to stand with minorities of any persuasion. Yes, that somehow includes women. Don't ask me how women got in that club again, but they are. Every time I hear Michael Steele defend the stupidity of the republicans my head tilts like a dog trying to understand, what the hell's wrong with this picture. They only brought you in to counter Obama, and then you ran off thinking you had been given a club card. Michael, you don't have a card, son! That's why you got dumped. You are no more to them than those people who wear those funny hats, sit in lawn chairs and wave flags to get what rich folks want even though it takes from them. Yet, you refuse to give up and you go on television making a fool of yourself.

Name that illness? I wish I could.

It's not an either or. There's plenty of rich, poor, and middle folks taking advantage of every loophole they can. To suggest it's soley one or the other actually is class warfare, and I don't think any of us want to prove that right-wing meme correct.

I am not sure if it was Will Rogers who said it, but the saying goes:

"He is so liberal that he won't even take his own side in a fight".

The reason they accuse us of "class war" is because they don't want us to take our own side in this fight.

One does not divide the nation by pointing out that a very small and select few make more money before lunch on the first work day of the year than the rest of us will make all year. This division exists, pointing it out is only speaking the truth.

The only way most of us are or will ever be like these people is that we consume oxygen too.
