Top Romney Adviser: Obama’s ‘One Of The Most Divisive Presidents’

Top Romney Adviser: Obama’s ‘One Of The Most Divisive Presidents’

On Meet the Press Sunday, Senior Romney adviser Ed Gillespie called President Obama “one of the most divisive presidents in American History” for suggesting, through his campaign, that had Mitt Romney been president, Osama bin Laden could still be alive. It’s a suggested Biden echoed in a speech in New York this week as well as in this video.

“This is one of the reasons President Obama has become on of the most divisive presidents in American history,” Gillespie said. “He took something that was a unifying event for all Americans… He’s managed to turn it into a divisive, partisan, political attack.” Gillespie predicted that it would be seen as a “desperate” sign from his campaign.

Looks like the Republicans are trying out a new talking point.

very possible. Romney is indescisive and always looking for the least controversial route with the least resistance.

I don't see him denying the idea that Osama would be alive if Romney were President, just that he doesn't like that being pointed out.

The only moral form of discrimination is that which places all the sensible people on one side of an issue and all the stupid people on the other side.

Bring it on.

Romney said "It's not worth moving Heaven and Earth and spending billions of dollars just to get one person." When President Obama took office he told his CIA director that his No. 1 job was to hunt down and get Osama Bin Laden. There is the difference! It was the wrong question for Gregory to ask "If Romney were in the same situation, being told by intellegence sources where Bin Laden was, would he have done the same thing?" The point is: Romney WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN IN THE SAME SITUATION!

And we now see clearly what the Republican talking points will be for this election:
1. President Obama is not a leader. (We have tried to keep him from accomplishing anything because it might look like he is leading. ) 2. The economy is recovering too slowly. (We have refused to pass the jobs bill or further stimulus so that the economy will fail.) And, now No. 3. The President is pointing out some of his accomplishments and because we don't like his success, he is being DIVISIVE!
