Rose Wakulu is exhausted. Yet the 25-year-old sits upright on a wooden chair in an abandoned school classroom, breastfeeding her 28-day-old nephew Ibrahim. Boko Haram fighters killed the newborn's mother and twin on the day he was born. For more than five years Boko Haram, which aims to create a state in northeastern Nigeria under its version of Sharia, has committed atrocities across the region. According to Amnesty International, at least 2,000 people were feared dead after a massive January attack in the far northeastern town of Baga near Lake Chad in Borno.
