win, and when they do, of course, we get governed by politicians who are indeed a LOT more right than left.
God forbid we have ideologues who long for principles and all that shit. Principles are soooo yesteryear.
Really, Vanilla, you are well on the way to making me feel that the Democratic Party is just as soulless as the GOP. Congratulations!

I get sick and tired of hearing some Democrats say that we must be "realists" and be more "moderate" or even conservative to win votes. Bullshit! Chomsky is right! The Democratic Party is now a center-right party while the GOP has gone batshit crazy into fascism. I happen to be a progressive and I want progressive values promoted! I don't want my party to be Republican-lite. I want my party to be for the working class! To push for a raise in the minimum wage, to be anti-war, to make corporations pay their share of taxes, to provide health care and education to all! But I guess that is asking too much! We have to be "realists" after all and kiss the ass of the rich just like the GOP does. Yeah and we shouldn't talk too much about the wage gap or the environment or anything that really matters because we don't want to turn off the conservative voters who aren't going to vote for us anyway. Morons! There is a large segment of this society that wants progressive values promoted but we haven't been delivering so they stay home on election day and then we wonder why we lose to lunatics like Bachmann or Jindal. The Democratic Party needs to wake up and smell the coffee before it is too late.

"Liberal" became an epithet in political culture. Now, some in the Democratic Party are completing the saturation of that odious meme, the demonization of the term, "liberal", in the culture.

It is despicable.

It is necessary for corporate Republicans to be batshit crazy, in order for corporate Democrats to continue moving rightward.

The wacky Republicans are designed to frighten us into voting for corporate Democrats who've utterly abandoned the policies that once made our party a fierce advocate for working men and women.

While we're busy obsessing about nutjobs who question evolution and climate change, corporations are basically taking over the country.

this in the 1980's....

What the "corpo-dems" call "fucking retarded and worse than the tea party" (rahm and schumer) is actually the majority base that was once Known as the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party.

So, I Strongly reject the new meme...if "we" want to take the Dem Party Back? Start acting like a Democrat and do what the Reactionary's have done to the GOP...cuz, they're Already infiltrated into the Dem Party and the weakest, most greedy of those who call themselves Democrat are leading the charge.

"complex systems are not subject to clever fixes. Rather, changes often have unexpected results (that shouldn’t happen with a clock), so change necessarily remains incremental. But without an agreement on goals, without statements of purpose, we are going to continue to see changes that are not in the interest of the majority. Increasingly, it’s corporations and not governments that are determining how the world works....."

Step 1: Bill Clinton was only cautious. Step 2: Obama followed in the Bill Clinton footsteps with Wall Street Advisers. Step 3: Hillary may openly be a Republican Democrat, if elected. Will Wall Street will give her permission or will she make the decisions? Hillary could bring us, explosive Trickle-Up/end of representative democracy as we all fall off the extreme end.

Those that have it are going to make sure they keep it and get much, much more.

Those that don't have it are not getting any.

A big investment now is services to the poor. Wouldn't want to ruin a good thing.

And the wealthy shall inherit the Earth. Well, their kids will.

The Tea Party is the perfect example of branded pre-packed crap being sold to a huge number of people as they gain more and more freedumbs.

We lose freedom and they gain freedumb. Chomsky is a genius and is correct, the shift to the right doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon.
