I dont believe it has happened anytime in history. The lone exception might be the American Revolution which really say us revolt against a government in a different continent.

"Regulated" capitalism will ALWAYS slip it's regulation. Because of the nature of capitalism, the people are ALWAYS fighting against money and wealth. And money and wealth are unprincipled in defense of itself. Throughout history it's been shown that capitalism CANNOT be regulated long term.

Regulating capitalism is like riding a tiger. It's VERY hard to do and you're always in danger of being eaten.
