Keith Olbermann on Citizen's United 1-21-2010

I love his quote from Lincoln: "You can prostitute all of the politicians some of the time, and prostitute some of the politicians all of the time, but you cannot prostitute all of the politicians all of the time".

This is an example of why MSNBC canned KO. He was TOO GOOD at telling the TRUTH.

1. His special comments were excellent. I thought he resigned though? I know they pushed him out,

and yes, he was too good at telling the truth. I also think he realized how fickle people can be and didn't see why he should put himself on the line when he knew he couldn't count on the support of his previously adoring audience.

after that initial attempt to try to smear him. But I think he saw the writing on the wall and knew he would not be allowed to speak freely.

He brought MSNBC back from the lowest ratings which they acquired after firing Donohue and making it clear they would be 'cheering for war' from that point on. They lost their liberal audience, and the Faux crowd don't need a Fox imitation when they have the real thing.

So they decided to try to appeal again to the Left. Keith was the one who brought an audience to MSNBC AND some of their best hosts, like Rachel.

Now we are off to war again, so they have to clear out the 'left' again.

I predict ratings even lower than their last decision to go 'pro war'.

3. Olbermann was indeed prescient about CU, but so was Obama. Only America's corrupt con judges were blind.

Keith is such a fresh of fresh air, the unvarnished truth is so refreshing in a media world full of stinky crap.

The mass media and cable news owners are right to fear him having a bigger platform.

Williams suspended with pay for lying, Bilbo probably gets a raise for lying about his own lies...... Keith black listed for tellng the truth.

What more do you need to know about the state of media affairs in America?

Media pundits and commentators are permitted by their paymasters to rock the boat but they can not point out the water is on fire. Or they get fired.

It is a Sign, a good sign, that Olbermann is back.

Blessed are the Truthsayers.

4. Wrong on this one: 'Only America's corrupt con judges were blind.'

They saw EXACTLY what they were doing. These are GOP appointees working on a long-term plan and have been known to openly attend Koch brothers meetings for their marching orders. The end of the 1A and all the rest of the amendments, clauses, articles, the Constitution and the principles of the Declaration and the government they established is well underway. And people cheer the amount of 'liberty' and 'freedom' they expect from their guns and faux revolutions of the right and the left, what they say they will set up as altenatives, that only advantage a few people at a time and give a little elite power.

Olberman was killed, not by a bullet, but character assassination and the left was part of it. Yes, how fickle people are, listening to the faux majority created by media.

Note his mentioning talking to Russ Feingold, and I am sure it is part of why he and other that people bleat about not running to 'save us' is not happening. And it not going to happen. Politicians who are Idealists and care fo the People who need help are becoming fewer, because they cannot fail to notice the hate that is sent the way of the liberal and progressive politicans, allegedly from their own side.

Each person only has a certain span of years to live, to love, to make a difference in their own lives and that of others. Yet they are subjected to the American Idol treatment by those who never had half the capacity to change this country for the better. They are spit upon, savaged, and finally not elected by narrow minds and single issue voters who refuse to look at the totality ot he person they are blabbering about, who is every bit as mulit-faceted as every person has the capacity of being.

The Cons of the GOP, Tea Party, Libertarians and their enablers will have reached a point when they are no longer of any use, but they will end civil society for all those who claim to be so clever in the process.
