Oops! Fishman subpoenaed hangar records linked to 'the Chairman's flight'

U.S. prosecutors investigating a former top ally of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie subpoenaed records relating to an airplane hangar at Newark Liberty International Airport, a person familiar with the matter said.

The subpoena relates to a widebody aircraft hangar and David Samson, the former chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, said the person, who wasn’t authorized to discuss the matter publicly and asked not to be identified. The subpoena also involves United Airlines, the largest carrier at the airport, the person said.

U.S. investigators subpoenaed the personal travel logs of Samson as well as information about his relationship with United Airlines, the Record newspaper reported this month.

Prosecutors are seeking information about a nonstop flight United started between Newark-Liberty, operated by the Port Authority, and Columbia Metropolitan Airport in South Carolina, about 50 miles (80 kilometers) from where Samson’s wife has a home, the Record said.
Flights Canceled

The flights, which left Newark on Thursday evenings and returned Monday mornings, operated from September 2012 to last April, according to Lynne Douglas, a spokeswoman for the Columbia airport. United canceled the route April 1, days after Samson resigned from the agency, which was under scrutiny after allies of Christie closed access lanes at the George Washington Bridge.
The closures paralyzed traffic in the town of Fort Lee, whose Democratic mayor didn’t endorse the governor’s re-election.

as a stepping stone to Christie. Put enough pressure on him, and he could really eff up the governor. That would be sweet (which is not to say Samson doesn't deserve an ass-kicking as well).

That said, how brazen and stupid can these people be? Did they think no one would notice shutting down the GWB, or a special flight for the "chairman?" wtf

Ronnie Raygun had more subordinates indicted and convicted than any other president. He lasted the full two terms.

Sampson will be Christie's Delilah. For some reason I can't remember who said it.

at the Crime Digest. Since today is Mike "the Mouthpiece" Drewniak's last day as Christie's spokesman he's going to have to face things like this without his mean-spirited front man.

175. Another rat jumps ship-Mike "the Mouthpiece" Drewniak resigns:New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s Top Spokesman Leaving http://blogs.wsj.com/metropolis/2015/02/24/new-jersey-gov-chris-christies-top-spokesman-leaving/ Maybe he has to go and gouge somebody's eyes out, pour gasoline in the sockets and light it up.

176. Just in case the prior 175 items haven't convinced you that Christie is a man who will do or say anything to get ahead, he now reveals his "pro-life" credentials! Oh, and next Friday-Ben Barlyn's motion to release the grand jury transcripts in the Hunterdon County caper is being heard. Attention Mr. Fishman-you don't need a court motion to look at those transcripts, just go get them. I'm sure there's enough in them to bring down Paula Dow and Guadagno-just one step away from the big man. (I'm not referring to Clarence Clemmons)
