Brazil arrests US "man of God" sect leader wanted on sex charges

One woman alleged Barnard sexually abused her beginning at age 13 and continuing until she was 22. The other said her abuse occurred between ages 12 and 20.

He used religious coercion and intimidation to maintain his control over them, He allegedly told one victim she would remain a virgin because he was a "man of God," according to a criminal complaint.

In fact, the God of the Old Testament readily tells his "chosen people" to take women of other tribes as slaves and concubines for the use of God's "chosen" people.

Usually the God of the Old Testament only wants his "chosen" to take women who have not "Known or lied with a man." So women who had kids and husbands were a free-for-all massacre target. Virgins, not so much. Rape was very much approved for them. Cause, you know, God.
