Nancy Pelosi: "I was near tears throughout the Prime Minister's speech-saddened by the insult..."

“That is why, as one who values the U.S. – Israel relationship, and loves Israel, I was near tears throughout the Prime Minister’s speech – saddened by the insult to the intelligence of the United States as part of the P5 +1 nations, and saddened by the condescension toward our knowledge of the threat posed by Iran and our broader commitment to preventing nuclear proliferation."

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi appeared visibly angry during the latter half of the speech, frequently gesticulating to House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer and declining to stand when Mr. Netanyahu said the deal being worked on with Iran is a bad deal.

French President Hollande Walked Out on Netanyahu Speech. If He Can Do It, So Can Democrats
I read this week that VP Biden 'hasn't decided yet whether or not to attend Netanyahu's speech' to Congress! Why?

The plot hatched between Israeli Ambassador Dermer and Netanyahu to use Boehner in order to undermine President Obama's efforts for a peaceful resolution with Iran, has outraged world leaders from the US to Europe to Israel itself.

So what is the problem? These plotters insulted this COUNTRY, by insulting its President.

Dems, who were on board with Bibi initially, like Menendez eg, have begun to change their minds since the tide turned so swiftly after the nefarious plot was exposed.

They are now expressing their own intentions not to vote for Menendez's own Amendment to increase sanctions on Iran, Bibi's reason for coming to encourage them to do so against the President's wishes.

What is everyone waiting for? The Israeli Ambassador also treated Kerry like garbage when he kept quiet about the plot during a visit from Kerry to the Israeli Embassy.

Kerry has stated, rightfully, he will not be meeting with Bibi if he comes to the US.

French President Hollande did not hesitate to show his displeasure when Netanyahu insulted HIM by refusing to comply with a request HE made and simply doing what HE wanted.

Hollande asked Netanyahu not to attend Paris memorial march
Hollande's anger at Netanyahu was evident during the ceremony held Sunday evening following the march at the Grand Synagogue in Paris, an event attended by hundreds of members of the local Jewish community.

Hollande sat through most of the ceremony, but when Netanyahu's turn at the podium arrived, the French president got up from his seat and made an early exit.

When the French Govt found out that Netanyahu intended to defy their request, they invited Abbas to the ceremony and their reaction to Bibi's flaunting of their authority, was swift.

From Pelosi's statement:

Today, Prime Minister Netanyahu reiterated something we all agree upon: a nuclear armed Iran is unacceptable to both our countries. We have all said that a bad deal is worse than no deal, and stopping the spread of nuclear weapons is the bedrock of our foreign policy and national security. As President Obama has said consistently, all options are on the table for preventing a nuclear-armed Iran.

National Security Advisor Susan Rice, yesterday:
"I want to be very clear: A bad deal is worse than no deal," Rice said to much applause.

Nancy Pelosi Turns Her Back on Benjamin Netanyahu’s Speech

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi turned her back on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when he said, “Even if Israel has to stand alone, Israel will stand.”

While nearly everyone else in the audience stood and cheered for the Israeli prime minister’s defiant declaration, the camera caught an unhappy-looking Pelosi turning her back and speaking to the colleagues behind her.

Netanyahu continued, “But I know that Israel does not stand alone. I know that America stands with Israel. I know that you stand with Israel.” The audience in the House chamber responded with another standing ovation and thunderous applause.

In a press statement after Netanyahu’s address, Pelosi said, “I was near tears throughout the prime minister’s speech – saddened by the insult to the intelligence of the United States as part of the P5 +1 nations, and saddened by the condescension toward our knowledge of the threat posed by Iran and our broader commitment to preventing nuclear proliferation....more

and get angry that an American president was undermined in his own country for pursuing peace talks.

Netanyahu's argument was ludicrous. Iran's leaders are violent maniacs, therefore we should do nothing and eventually these maniacs will propose a sensible solution. That makes sense.
