This whole police trying to raise money off the backs of residents in Ferguson is predictable. Rich

pay less in taxes, police & government try and run themselves like a business, hatred breaks out between the people and the police. Predictable. Predictable enough that it may have been a GOP strategy from the beginning.....just another wedge in the party of wedges, the GOP.

The cops are nothing but modern day overseers for absentee landlords who need not dirty their soft white hands.

Remember the NYPD taking revenge on DeBlasio by refusing to collect revenue, and "crime" dropping over 90% as a result?

Police officers are legalized bandits and highwaymen that prey on the poor. They have zero obligation to help you if you are the victim of a crime, but a very strict obligation to raise a particular amount of revenue if they want promotions or raises or even to keep their jobs.

serves the GOP narrative very well. Also probably why police at demonstrations began to take a belligerent stance at demonstrations as soon as neocons would come into power. And that belligerent stance provoked anger among demonstrators....furthering the GOP narrative. Remember wars and civil strife are seen as opportunities for neocons to change societies.

how much Emerson Electric, multinational headquartered in Ferguson, contributes to the local tax base and local job opportunities as well as the diversity of their local workforce. I'd guess they've probably offshored a lot of jobs. Total assets: $24.177 billion.

...complete with police assaults and arbitrary arrests and conflated charges - 90% involving black citizens.

Sure, it's endemic around the country, but Ferguson shouldn't be ignored by saying that all police depts. do this. There are abuses associated with the Ferguson PD which need highlighting and addressing without generalizing this report out of context.'
