CBS Evening News teaser: OU scandal & Dog show fight

I won't watch--rarely do-- but I would have thought the traitorous, treasonous acts committed by 47 US Senators would be worthy of headlines or lead story.
Local CBS news (Los Angeles) : Amber alert, e-cigarette explosion and various other nonsensical information nobody needs.

It's a small wonder that our fellow citizens are so apathetic and ill informed.

If you haven't, you should listen to This is Hell on WNUR. They used to do what they called the Nine Circles of Hell every weekday. They would post nine of the most important news stories to know about every weekday. Then they would review all the nightly news broadcasts and the stories they covered. Most of it was inane garbage of little consequence to anyone but the people involved. When they did cover an important story the coverage was superficial, lacking context, or biased so as not to challenge the centers of power or the acceptable points of view of "the serious people".
That's one reason I haven't watched commercial media for information in years.

Murrow nailed it almost 60 years ago.

Here it is again from "Good Night and Good Luck" because that was a terrific movie.
