Tom Cotton may have just undermined his own case

http://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2015/03/tom-cotton-may-just-have-undermined-his-own-cause/387382/

The letter drafted by the freshman Senator Tom Cotton, and signed by 46 of his Republican colleagues, warning Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei that any deal he makes with U.S. Non-Supreme Leader Barack Obama might soon be undone by right-minded American legislators, is problematic on a number of fronts. But let me address just a couple, in the interest of time (I'm off to Germany to give a couple of talks on—of all things— the manner in which American foreign policy is made), and because others (including Dan Drezner) have addressed some of the broader issues already.

The deal could also come apart for any number of other reasons. At which point—here's the important part—it's vitally important for President Obama to be able to argue to America's sanctions partners in Europe and Asia that the U.S. did everything possible to strike a deal, and to keep Iran at the table. If the talks collapse, President Obama will have to maintain, and strengthen, the broad-based sanctions coalition he built earlier in his term, with help from Congress and his erstwhile sidekick, bad-cop Bibi Netanyahu. But if America's partners—particularly those in Asia—come to believe that it was the U.S., rather than the Iranian leadership, that subverted the talks, the cause of invigorated sanctions will be damaged, possibly grievously.

He wants war, that's what all Repugs drool about in their dreams. More war, = more runnign as the war party that will keep your children safe, = more money to MIC who in turn give more $$ to him. The reason he hates Obama, other than just because, is Obama is making war less likely so he's trying to destroy the talks, so he gets his wet dream come true.

The rabid Republican politicians are unable to shed their racism when a man of mix heritage was elected president. They don't see his white heritage but only his despised Black heritage. It doesn't matter what his accomplishments are their ignorant brains dead constituency will only be satisfied when he is driven from office. Their leaders are nothing more than fascist low life bastards who don't give a damn if they destroy the country. I have never been more disgusted.

It is unthinkable to them, to this day, that a black man is president ...

they hate him more than Hitler or Mussolini

they really do..if either of those 2 were alive today, they would find more in common with them than Obama

Benedict Arnold was a decorated war hero before he conspired with the British to turn over West Point. Maybe Cotton would be more at home in Iran.

putting Cotton up to this. Possibly Right Wingers with AIPAC and mentioned Bill Krystals name. Cotton being a Jr. Senator needs some "brownie" points to be a part of the ''club'' so to speak. There's always something underneath it all in Washington. If Cotton acted alone, then it was a real stupid move.
