There will never be a n*gg*r in SAE.
There will never be a n*gg*r in SAE.
You can hang him from a tree, but he can never sign with me
There will never be a n*gg*r in SAE.
....
In fact, 27 days ago, people on Reddit were talking about this exact same chant, and stating that it was a required chant to enter the SAE fraternity at the University of Texas.
So, who in government was a member of this hate group? Of course its not been proven that all chapters of the fraternity were required to chant those words, but if it was as widespread as reported, there's a lot of politicians (and others) with explaining to do.

(11,804 posts)Allen Boyd was a member of SAE? That's depressing.

(51,308 posts)but my quick glance seemed to show more Republicans.
tenderfoot
(8,438 posts)but yeah, more Republicans than Dems.
FWIW, the SAE house on Case Western Reserve University's campus in the 1980's was well stocked in aryan assholes. Easily the biggest douchebag frat on campus.
cwydro
(51,308 posts)I remember them well.
I had an assistantship in the intramural department. I scheduled all the intramural sports.
The Sig Eps continually came to my office to tell me why they could NOT play at the time scheduled (usually for some stupid frat thing).
When I advised them that we did not change the schedules of games and that they had signed an agreement about just that rule, I was called a "b----." I was also called a "c---" as they walked away.

(731 posts)Not exactly "way more."
Racism doesn't just belong to the republican party, as much as you want to believe it.

I didn't mention racism at all.
This thread simply was discussing politicians who were SAE members.
Wow.
tenderfoot
(8,438 posts)like the 17 CONSERVATIVE Democrats on that list.
Dems to Win
(2,161 posts)I skimmed that Reddit thread and there were reports that the recorded chant was commonly heard at SAE houses in Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas.
Other SAE members from Illinois, the northeast, and even the deep south made comments that they had never heard the chant.
Not conclusive evidence, I know.
Doesn't sound like good news about the Pryors.
