The 26-year-old twice tricked his on again, off again lover into taking the dangerous tablets he bought online in a desperate bid to ensure the fetus died, reports The Local. First, he tried to induce a miscarriage by passing them off as painkillers. But when they visited the midwife, he soon realized that his disgusting plan hadn't worked. He then became worried that the baby would be born with "major malformations." The man, who has not been identified, ordered a second batch of pills.

He crushed them up into a smoothie, which was drunk by the 20-year-old, with whom he already had a child and who'd become pregnant again after they had casual sex at a party. After drinking the pills, she was hit by severe abdominal pain. Hours later, she miscarried, reports Sky News.

The woman was suspicious of what happened. Her doctor conducted tests and told her the miscarriage had been induced by a high dose of abortion medication.
