About nobody entering the fray when 4 girls were attacking one kid...

Some of it was the bystander effect and some of it was just plain enjoyment of the violence.
However, unless you are ready to try to break it up with an equivalent amount of force, you will just become another casualty. Girls can be as brutal as guys.

If there was a fire hose rolled up in one of those cabinets, get it out and blow everybody out of the door. If not, get every fire extinguisher on hand and blast away. Don't stop.

You could become another target in seconds. Who knows what the fight was about? The victim might have committed a crime against one of the other girls & things just escalated from there.

You risk getting seriously hurt & y'know a lawsuit is coming. Total no-win situation. If it's not my kids involved, I would step back & 911.

People don't call cops in that neighborhood, and they certainly don't tell cops anything.

I am trying to explain why anybody there who wanted to help may have been unwilling to step forward.
As for not talking, you try living in a neighborhood if you are known as a snitch. Nobody is gonna give a shite about you or a medal. That's why the cameras are vital. It is a huge hindrance to stopping crime, but there it is.
