GOP+SAE=Racism (AMAZING editorial cartoon)
by Miscweant
I literally (really literally, not Lindsey Graham "literally" gasped at this cartoon from the Salt Lake City Tribune:

On a bus ride to hell
In one image, the cartoonist Bagley connects two contemporaneous, seemingly different but intimately connected events and reveals the true, diseased soul of the modern Republican Party.

(12,233 posts)supposed to be President Obama? Sitting in the back of the bus? Which would be even more telling about racism and disrespect for this President and toward anyone with color in their skin. The thing that throws me off from completely thinking it is Obama at the back of the bus, is the hair color... I know he's going quite grey.... Out of all the people on the bus though, his back is to is and facing the bigots, he's in a suit, instead of the red SAE uniform, and we don't see the face.
Anyway, if that is Obama at the back of the bus, it adds a whole other depth to the cartoon regarding the Presidency and race relations in this country... And all of this basically occurring around the 50th anniversary of the Selma March and Bloody Sunday.
