Arkansas Republican Who Gave Girls to Rapist Regularly Performed Exorcisms on Unruly PreschoolersA former teacher of Justin Harris' school spoke about bizarre rituals performed on students.
The Arkansas Republican who gave his adopted daughters to a man who raped one of them was apparently in the habit of attempting to cast demons out of the children in his federally-funded pre-kindergarten.
According to KNWA news, a former employee of Justin Harris Growing Gods Kingdom who was also a mother of a student in the school came forward Wednesday to discuss the bizarre pseudo-religious rituals Harris and his wife Marsha would perform on students as a routine part of daily life at the school.
The former teacher who asked to be identified as Amber said that the Harrises would perform an exorcism ritual when children were acting up.
...
Amber worked at the school for about five months in 2013, but was fired when she took exception to the Harrises methods for disciplining the children.
...
Amber said that Marsha Harris spoke freely and openly about the demons she believed were possessing the girls.

Justin and Marsha Harris gave a contentious, emotional press conference at the Arkansas state capitol last Friday, but now virtually every claim that they made in that conference has come apart under scrutiny as a panoply of Aransas Department of Human Services (DHS) workers, other foster parents and other witnesses have contradicted the Harris familys account of events.

"The problem was simple hubris, {former foster mother} said. He saw it as, Im with God. Gods going to solve this.

The late muckraking blog, Blue Hog Report, highlighted the hypocrisy in Harris' operation. A state budget hawk, Harris gets almost $900,000 a year in state and federal money to operate the daycare. A stout opponent of government support for immigrants, he also serves children of immigrant laborers that likely include undocumented visitors. He also tried to amend the FOI to protect himself from snooping into public records concerning his enterprise. A scourge of double-dippers, he's lined his pockets with a state paycheck, hefty state expenses and the government grant money.
Oddly, enough, nobody, apart from Blue Hog, ever raised much noise about the more obvious problem giving state and federal tax dollars to what, by its name alone, appears to be a religious operation. In looking back at my own clips, I see I once put a question on on this to the state Human Services Department and Julie Munsell, no longer spokesman. She never responded.
DHS will have to respond now.
Americans United for the Separation of Church and State has written both DHS and the state Education Department to express concerns about more than $500,000 in Arkansas Better Chance for School Success money going to Growing God's Kingdom. Based on documents it has discovered through Freedom of Information requests, Americans United says it believes the payment of public funds is unconstitutional. It asks for an investigation and, if necessary, remedial action.

Now this was in 2011, and I believe they "made some changes" but here is your typical : "YOU people can pull yourselves up by your bootstraps, but WE need government assistance to run OUR business, because we are special snowflakes." Typical fucking Republican.
What a goddamned racket.
